Have You Tried Facebook Ads and Not Had Good Results?

If you’re like most small or medium business owners with an online product or service you’ve probably tried and or are currently running a Facebook ad campaign.

If you’re currently running an ad campaign and it’s going great, that means people are going from Facebook to your website and purchasing what you’re selling, stop reading right now, if it ain’t broke don’t fix it!

If you’re not so blessed, like the rest of us, and your Facebook ad campaign has delivered less than desirable results, keep reading I’ve got some tips that might help you fix your Facebook ads campaign.

The first most common reason that a Facebook ad campaign will fail is a simple misunderstanding of the campaigns metrics. Which is just fancy talk for, how do you measure the success or failure of the ad campaign? At this point, if you’re thinking, well I pay ten dollars a month for my ads I just want to get back at least more than that in sales. The issue is that you don’t know exactly how much traffic each ad is generating to your sales funnel and how much each as is making and how much each ad is costing. The right way is to divide the number of leads generated from the campaign by the amount of revenue created by the ad campaign, and that’s how much the campaign is worth to you.

Now, this is all well and good but if you don’t have a clearly defined and proven sales pipeline process you can spend all the money in the world on your Facebook ads but if there’s nowhere for them to convert from leads into sales it’s all a big waste. This is the second biggest reason why Facebook ad campaigns fail. Often business owners are quick to pull the trigger on big expensive ad campaigns before they’ve taken the time to iron out all the kinks in their sale processes. There’s no shame in starting slow, easing the ad funnel open gently, increasing the lead flow bit by bit so that deficiencies in the sales process can be exposed and corrected. It’s not uncommon for a sales process to handle one level of volume well enough but increase that volume significantly and you’ve got a major problem on your hands.

Running a successful Facebook ad campaign takes diligence and patience, there’s no sense in rushing, take your time and do it right, and you’ll be much happier you did.
